Cannabis comes in a wide range of types and subspecies. Cultivators and farmers have been breeding different Types of Weed with certain traits for a long time in order to develop hybrids and strains.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), and other cannabinoids are present in varying amounts in each cannabis strain.
Plants are grown and branded to have a specific appearance, flavour, and impact on the user.
Currently, most data on the effects of various cannabis strains are based on personal experiences. Despite the fact that scientists are investigating the impact of various cannabis strains on a number of medicinal ailments, there is still a long way to go.
Delta-9 THC is the cannabinoid we’re all familiar with—the it’s key component in marijuana strains that makes people high and has done so for thousands of years. You may have heard about delta-8, a cannabinoid comparable to delta-9 but less powerful that has gained popularity in the last year or two.
To add to the confusion, a cannabinoid known as delta-10 is gaining popularity. It’s difficult to stay up with marijuana trends.
Let’s take a look at what the big deal is about delta-10, if it can get you high, how it compares to other cannabinoids, and how to obtain it.
What exactly is delta-10?
Delta-10 is a cannabinoid present in the cannabis plant in trace levels. It can make you high, just as normal THC (delta-9), although it is less powerful. This makes it comparable to delta-8, a less powerful cannabinoid than normal THC.
“Delta-8 was quite popular and had really taken off,” says Roger Brown, president and CEO of ACS Laboratory, which analyses hemp-derived goods from 48 states. “Now delta-10 has taken off as well, and we’re seeing it in a considerable number of products that are being tested.”
Delta-10 and delta-8 are both widely made from hemp-derived CBD. Delta-10 is allowed in every state in the United States.
What impact does delta-10 have?
Delta-10 THC can make you high, but it’s not as strong as ordinary delta-9 THC. Anecdotally, delta-10 is said to have stimulating properties, whilst delta-8 is thought to have sedative properties. Delta-10 is frequently likened to Sour Diesel, Pineapple Express, or Super Lemon Haze, whilst delta-8 is frequently compared to OG Kush, Wedding Cake, and Purple Punch.
